Pair can delay departures
Paul Dickov has thanked the Irish Football Association for the support they have offered Latics. They are permitting Carl Winchester and Kirk Millar to report late for Northern Ireland under-21 duty.
This will enable the pair to play for Latics in Tuesday's Johnstone Paint Trophy at Chesterfield.
"The Irish FA have been very understanding and we would like to thank them for their help," explained Latics' manager.
Winchester and Millar will report on Wednesday for European Championship qualifiers against Macedonia in Belfast on Friday followed by a further under-21 match in Denmark on Monday.
Latics will be without captain Dean Furman (pictured) on Tuesday as he will be away playing for South Africa against Brazil and Mozambique and could ill afforded to lose three first-team squad players for the JPT tie.
The fact Furman, Winchester and Millar are all unavailable on Saturday has led to the npower League One match at Doncaster Rovers being postponed.
