Simpson loses out
Jose Baxter was handed his first start for Latics in this afternoon's home npower League One match against Coventry City.The former Everton played teamed up with Matt Derbyshire in attack as Robbie Simpson stood down to the bench.
Baxter for Simpson was the one change from the team which kicked off at Brentford last Saturday.
Coventry welcomed back striker David McGoldrick and midfield man Conor Henderson who were ineligible for the midweek Capital One Cup tie at Arsenal where the Sky Blues lost 6-1.
