Furman's noisy return

14 September 2012

Dean's back from South Africa duty

Dean Furman made a noisy return to Boundary Park today from international duty.

Latics' captain arrived back from South Africa clutching two vuvuzelas.

They are the trumpet-shaped horns which produce a loud buzzing sound and which became a feature of the 2010 World Cup which South Africa hosted.

One of the vuvezelas is for Paul Gerrard's young children so he can expect a noisy weekend at home.

Furman is back after 10 days away with South Africa who played friendlies against Brazil and Mozambique.
