Latics a pain for Jack

20 September 2012

Youngster's training ground injury

Schoolboy Jack Fielding got to sample somewhere he didn't expect during his week's work experience at Boundary Park - the treatment room.

The 15-year-old from Milnrow, a talented young goalkeeper, spent today training with Latics' goalkeepers.

Towards the end of training, Jack joined in with the first team's shooting practice when he sprained his wrist saving a fierce shot.

It ended Jack's session and he ended up in the treatment room having ice applied to the injury.

Jack has been sampling life behind the scenes at Boundary Park.

The Crompton House pupil has also spent time in the media/commercial department and been to Lyndhurst Primary School with Oldham Athletic Community Trust for a Futsal session.

Jack, a member of Boundary Blues, has been a match mascot several times.

"It has been a really good week and I have enjoyed being at the club seeing how it works," he said.
