Sponsored walk to Sheffield

A group of Latics' fans will be walking through the night and almost 40 miles to watch their match at Sheffield United on Saturday, October 13th.

Why you may ask? The recent death of Cici Holden, the 17-month-old daughter of ex Latics' captain Dean Holden highlighted how easy meningitis can affect a family.

Also recently Alex Williams, a life long Latics' fan and ambassador

for the Meningitis Trust, passed away. This walk is to highlight that meningitis can effect anyone and everyone.

Headed by Dom Weiss, the 28 fans will leave Boundary Park at 6pm on the Friday evening hoping to arrive at Brammall Lane in time for the match.

Dean and Danielle Holden are pictured at Dean's former club Chesterfield who raised over £2,500 in memory of Cici.
