Striker out for 12 weeks
Latics have been dealt a massive injury blow after learning that on-loan striker Jordan Slew will be ruled out for a minimum of 12 weeks.A scan has revealed that 20-year-old Slew has a stress fracture of his back.
Slew, signed in August from npower Championship club Blackburn Rovers on a six-month loan, has been plagued with back problems during his short stay at Boundary Park.
He has returned to Blackburn for treatment but, under the terms of his loan, remains a Latics' player until January unless he is called back by his parent-club.
Slew has made four appearance for Latics, scoring once in the Capital One Cup against Sheffield Wednesday.
