New boy ruled out of reserve game
New Latics' signing Federico 'Fede' Bessone's debut has been put on hold due to injury.The 29-year-old left back (pictured) was due to make his debut in this afternoon's reserve-team match against Walsall at Chapel Road.
Bessone pulled out, however, after receiving a painful kick to his calf yesterday in training.
He had been named on the teamsheet and the extent of the soreness only became clear when he reported in for the game.
Bessone will be hoping for a speedy recovery as Latics' reserves are in action again on Thursday against Bury at Chapel Road in the Manchester Senior Cup.
