Millar, Mellor impress Latics' skipper
Half-time substitutes Kirk Millar (pictured) and David Mellor were praised by Latics' captain James Wesolowski after helping spark a second-half fightback by Latics in yesterday's home defeat against Carlisle United.Wesolowski was impressed by the contributions from both players.
He said: "Kirk did well and is a promising young player.
"You can see in training he has serious ability and it is a case of him transferring that from the training pitch to games.
"He did that yesterday and was our main catalyst to get going and to play some good football.
"Kirk is enthusiastic and sometimes that is needed to get us going and he did a very good job along with David Mellor.
"David came in and did a top-notch job in midfield."
