Winger no longer an ever present
Lee Croft is "gutted" after being ruled out of Latics' team for today's npower League One match against Carlisle United. The winger's foot injury, sustained in the Easter Monday game against Colchester United, means he will be unable to play in every game this season.
Until today Croft (pictured), who failed a fitness test, had been Latics' only ever present featuring in all 47 games - he had made 46 starts and one appearance from the bench.
The 27-year-old Croft added his goal had been to play in every game of the season, something he had never previously achieved in his career.
The good news is that a scan has revealed no break and Croft is expected to be back for Tuesday's rearranged game at Preston North End.
