Johnson's in battle for three points

Rarely has a npower League One fixture attracted so much attention.

It will be as though the eyes of the nation - indeed parts of the world - will be on Boundary Park tomorrow when Latics play Yeovil Town.

The fascination is the managerial battle as father and son Gary and Lee Johnson go head to head on the touchline.

It will be only the second time in English football it has happened and the first in the recent era.

Bill Dodgin (Bristol Rovers) and Bill Dodgin jnr (Fulham) were the only others to do battle and the first of their five clashes was in 1969.

Latics have been overwhelmed by media interest - it has been just as big as for the FA Cup ties against Liverpool and Everton - with Sky Sports News this lunchtime doing a live link with both managers.

Cameras from Sky, BBC and ITV are all attending this afternoon's press conference along with representatives from national newspapers, local radio and media.

There has also been a request for an interview from Lance, Brazil's biggest sports newspaper, due to the interest in Latin America.
