Uppermill inflict derby defeat
Oldham Athletic Ladies failed to guarantee sixth place in the Greater Manchester Women's Football League, Division One on Sunday following their 5-0 defeat at Uppermill Ladies.
Latics were four points ahead of their opponents at the start of the game so a point would have meant a sixth-place finish with just one more game to play.
Unfortunately it was a disappointing and error-strewn performance with the Uppermill goals scored by Jackson (3), Brierley and Beresford.
The last league game is away to league runners up FC United of Manchester at Broadhurst Playing Fields, Moston, on Sunday (2pm).
