Scholar added to first-team squad
First-year scholar Jack Truelove has been added to Latics' squad for tomorrow's npower League One match at Leyton Orient.And manager Lee Johnson has praised the 17-year-old defender who is pictured.
Johnson said: "Jack has been playing well for the reserves and deserves his promotion.
"It shows that in life and football you have to be ready, look after yourself and catch the manager's eye."
Truelove, who can play centre of defence or left back, joined Latics as an under-16's player after being released by home-town Burnley.
He provides defensive cover in the absence of James Tarkowski and doubt over Jonathan Grounds who ricked his neck in midweek at Shrewsbury Town.
