Johnson considers return to action
Manager Lee Johnson is considering putting on his boots for Latics.
"If there was a flu epidemic and I had to play, I could only manage 60 minutes at the moment," he said.
He added that, were he considering a return to first-team action, he is well off the pace.
Johnson conceded Saturday's home defeat against Carlisle United in npower League One was crying out for a midfield man of his mould, somebody who could put their foot on the ball.
"I have decisions to make about two or three youngsters and by playing it will help my level of understanding of them and also their fitness."
He said: "It is more of a tool to help the young players.
Latics' chief has no intention, however, of returning to action in npower League One.
