First-ever visit from Crawley
Crawley Town will create a piece of history today by paying their first-ever visit to Boundary Park. The Sussex side's meteoric rise has taken them from non-league to npower League One in successive seasons.
They flirted with the promotion play-off places for much of the season before slipping back to mid-table.
It is an important game for Latics who still need one point from their three remaining games to ensure League One survival.
And the players will be desperate to achieve this in front of their own fans in the final home game of the season.
There will be one minute's applause before kick off in memory of all those connected with the club who have sadly departed during the past season.
And at the end of the match the players will return to the pitch to thank fans for their support during this rollercoaster campaign.
Latics request fans stay off the pitch at the end of the match.
This appeal had been made in the wake of a letter from the Football Assocation warning clubs of their responsibility to ensure supporters don't go on to the field of play.
