Johnson too young to be manager!
Disbelieving staff at the Premier Inn, which is only a stone's throw from Boundary Park, would not believe Lee Johnson was Latics' manager.
They thought the 31-year-old was too young when he told them who he was.
Johnson (pictured) experienced problems gaining entry at 2am yesterday when he arrived unannounced on his way back from a scouting trip to Scotland.
Rather than returning to his home in Cheshire, Johnson decided to stay at the Premier Inn so he could make an early start.
He explained: "I was battering down the door and they wouldn't let me in. They must have thought I was a drunk coming in off the street.
