Premiership Reading Stars

19 April 2013

Lyndhurst youngsters at Boundary Park

Youngsters from Lyndhurst Primary, Dukinfield, paid a visit to Boundary Park as part of the 'Premiership Reading Stars' project.

The trip was organised by Oldham Athletic's Community Trust as part of the nationwide initiative to promote reading.

Here Chandler, Daniel and the rest of the pupils from Lyndhurst, sent the following message to the club.

It read: "We would like to thank you for inviting us to your fantastic football club.

"The whole group had a fab time especially meeting Robbie Simpson and James Tarkowski who answered our questions about who encouraged them to read and what their favourite books were as children. (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is one of my favourites too James!)

"Tony Philliskirk was very funny and kind to spend his time talking to us and giving us some tactical advice!

"The changing rooms were very interesting especially when we met Cliffe Byrne who signed all our books and shirts.

"We have been keeping up to date with the club's progress each week by reading the match reports and league tables.

"We had a fantastic afternoon and we would love to come back. We wish the club every success in the future.
