Youngsters at today's match
Oldham Athletic Community Trust welcome children from Red Star Bengal to this afternoon's npower League One fixture against Crawley Town.
During the past season, the Community Trust has worked with local grassroots club Red Star every Sunday morning delivering an hour's football coaching.
The Community Trust coaches have mainly worked with the under 12's with the sessions taking place at Greenhill School.
Red Star is a community club and the coaching sessions are open to children of all abilities free of charge.
The Community Trust has been providing structured training sessions which has helped develop children's football abilities and skills.
The weekly recognition awards, which are presented after each session, gives the children added motivation and confidence. Above all the most important aspect of the training is that the kids enjoy the sessions and see the Community Trust's Rokib Miah as a fantastic coach and role model.
The coaching sessions have continued to develop and enhance the on-going good relationship with Oldham Athletic. Senior members and volunteers are helping to sustain the session for years to come.
Rokib Miah, Community Trust coach, said: "I have been coaching at the community sessions at Red Star Bengal FC every Sunday morning for the past couple of years.
"It consists of learning a variety of different techniques, ball skills, communication and match practice such as mini tournaments. I enjoy working with the young kids and let them enjoy football and have lots of fun which is the main thing. The parents also volunteer and help me as much as they can."
Shah, a young participant of the Sunday sessions, added: "I am 12 years old I love football and I come training every Sunday. I look forward to playing football with my friends every Sunday. Also my coach has helped to become better at playing football."
