Latics make eight changes
Scholar Joe Cooper was handed his first-team debut by Latics who made eight changes for tonight's rearranged npower League One match at Shrewsbury Town.The 18-year-old from Springhead (pictured), who this month was offered a pro contract, made his bow at right back.
Jonathan Grounds, Jean-Yves M'voto and Lee Croft were the only survivors from the side which kicked off at home to Crawley Town on Saturday.
Into the starting line up came Alex Cisak, Cristian Montano, the fit-again Cliff Byrne, Jose Baxter, Kirk Millar, Bobby Reid, Carl Winchester and Cooper.
Strikers Lee Barnard and Matt Smith were both ruled out through injuries picked up on Saturday.
