Team of the Week

20 April 2013

Moston Brook at Boundary Park

Oldham Athletic Community Trust welcome Moston Brook to Boundary Park as 'Team of the Week' for this afternoon's npower League One game against Crawley Town.

Moston Brook under-seven's, who are based at Failsworth, have just completed their first season in the Manchester Youth and Mini Soccer League.

The squad is a talented group with coaching based on learning, fun and player development. They have gone from strength to strength since their formation in the summer of 2012, and today’s match will be the highlight of their season.

They have one Latics' fan in their squad who follows the Latics home and away to matches so today will be extra special for him.

Moston Brook are split into two teams of six on match days with the two squads named Moston Brook Autobots and Moston Brook Decepticons.

Both teams are going on tour to Blackpool at the end of May. After this they will be hosting their own junior football tournament while also doing their bit for charity by raising money for Cancer Research.

They are hosting a charity night at the New World Irish Heritage Centre on Friday, May 17th (donations welcome via Just Giving)

Player development is paramount to all at the football club, and none more so than at this level.

They train at Manchester Creative and Media Academy, Higher Blackley (Pure Gym on Victoria Avenue East) and are always on the lookout for the next Jose Baxter or Roger Palmer. They have boys and girls teams from ages five to open age.

Should you wish to come along and join at any age group, please contact Ryan on 07854163952 or visit our website www.mostonbrook.co.uk.
