Joy and despair for Latics trio
Latics' three loan players experienced markedly contrasting fortunes in Bank Holiday Monday fixtures.Glenn Belezika (pictured) helped Skrill Premier Division Salisbury City achieve a goalless draw at Welling United.
Since the defender joined City, they have picked up four points from two matches and kept two clean sheets.
It represents a marked upturn in fortunes as they had lost their first three league matches.
Winger Chris Sutherland made a winning debut for Barrow who defeated Harrogate Town 1-0 in Skrill North.
But there was despair for keeper Luke Simpson who was sent off for Nantwich Town who were beaten 2-0 at home by Witton Albion in Evo-Stik League, Premier Division.
Simpson was dismissed after conceding a penalty when an opponent burst clean through on goal.
* Josh Ollerenshaw, a part time goalkeeping coach for Latics, had a debut to remember for Skrill North club Colwyn Bay.
Ollerenshaw, who also works for Oldham Athletic Community Trust, pulled off a string of fine saves to help Bay win 1-0 at Stockport County.
