Danny playing for reserves

Danny Philliskirk plays for Latics reserves in tomorrow's Central League match at Wrexham.

The 22-year-old, the son of Academy Manager Tony, is on trial at Boundary Park where his career kicked off.

Philliskirk (pictured) had been training at Doncaster Rovers following his release by Coventry City at the end of the season.

After kicking off his career with Latics, Philliskirk joined Chelsea on a four-year contract in 2007.

Philliskirk, a former England under-17 international, joined Sheffield United after leaving Chelsea.

He will take his place in a strong reserve line up which includes James Wesolowski, Cliff Byrne and Sidney Schmeltz

Team: Simpson, Belezika, Truelove, Wesolowski, Byrne, Petrillo, Schmeltz, Rodgers, Philliskirk, Gosset, Sutherland. Subs: Cooper, Pritchard, Brewster.

* Tomorrow match takes place at Wrexham's Colliers Park Training Ground, kick off 1pm.
