The season, a marathon 46 league games played over the next nine months, kicks off today at Stevenage.

And despite the length of the journey for the opening fixture, Latics will have a bumper following, an indication as to the optimism of fans who have seen Lee Johnson's new-look team.

Latics had sold 335 tickets by yesterday afternoon. It is also pay on the turnstiles at The Lamex so Latics could well have a 500-plus strong following.

Here are the prices for those who didn't buy in advance.

Adult: £22
Over-60's/students: £19
16/21 years: £14
7/15 years: £12
Under-seven: £8

Fans are also warned to give themselves extra time for the journey because of the Eastern Electrics 2013 musical festival this weekend at nearby Knebworth.

The junction seven exit on the A1, which Latics' fans would normally use, is closed. They ought to use junction eight which is signposted Stevenage North.
