Lee Johnson on new-look Latics
Lee Johnson believes the best has yet to come from his new look Latics' side.Latics' manager (pictured) is excited by the prospect of what his young team could achieve.
Johnson said: "There is a lot of potential and we are certainly putting the work and effort in to improve.
"That is something we have to do because we don't have the luxury where we can buy in 11 players who are in their prime and who are proven in this division."
And looking at his side in the early part of the campaign, Johnson believes his young and often inexperienced players can only get better.
He continued: "The future excites me because we have a great bunch of lads who are certainly up for it and enjoying their football.
"In an ideal world, I would like to keep this group for two years and also add to it as well.
"If that happened, we would definitely be a force because I am confident that the work we are doing will provide the improvement to the areas needed."
