Eight youngsters to miss Morecambe match
Latics under-18's will be without eight players for tomorrow's home match against Morecambe in the Football League Youth Alliance's North West Conference.Academy Manager Tony Philliskirk is so short of players that a number of schoolboys will be called up for the game at Chapel Road which kicks off at 11am.
Injured are Haydn Foulds, Kyle Hardman, Jack Truelove, Ryan Ellison and Idris Benourad while Will Kinder, Ben Grant and Joel Coleman are unavailable - Coleman will again be with the first team.
There is a possibility there may be a ninth absentee as Danny Byrnes has played twice for Wales under-17's this week.
