Radio presenter's Latics dilemma
Latics' fan Norman Cox has spent the week talking up Mansfield Town's prospects of causing a FA Cup upset tomorrow.Cox, a regular at Boundary Park, is the presenter of the mid-morning show at the radio station Mansfield 103.2
Yet tonight Cox will be able to wax lyrically about his love of Latics as he has been invited on to tonight's evening sports programme between 6pm and 7pm to talk about Lee Johnson's side.
Cox, who has been to away games at Stevenage and Crawley as well as to most home matches, said: "It has been strange having to talk up Mansfield all week.
"They know they are the underdogs, but are hoping to cause an upset at Boundary Park."
Cox, who has been a presenter since 2003, has lived in Mansfield for 38 years.
Today Cox, who first watched Latics play in 1958, will be viewing the game from the Zen Office Chaddy End where he will also be found for Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy, Northern Area Semi-Final against Chesterfield.
