Charlie back on the sidelines
Charlie MacDonald has suffered a new injury setback.Just back from a lay off caused by an ankle problem, the striker (pictured) was ruled out of yesterday's draw against Bradford City through a thigh strain.
Lee Johnson explained that MacDonald felt his thigh tighten after taking a shot in training.
Latics' manager says the 32-year-old MacDonald will be given a precautionary scan.
Johnson hopes MacDonald will be given the all clear adding the worst-case scenario is that he will be out a couple of weeks.
"It is a big disappointment as Charlie has not been fit enough this season as he is a big player for us," he said.
