Latics nominate super strike against the O's
Latics have nominated Jose Baxter as the club's entry for the 2012 Mitre Goal of the Year.Baxter's stunning strike against Leyton Orient at Boundary Park on Saturday, October 20th will now compete with the best from the 71 other Football League clubs.
The ball was played in to the feet of Baxter on the edge of the box and, after turning a defender, he curled an exquisite shot into the top far corner of the net.
Latics have great memories of the Mitre Goal of the Year as Dean Furman's strike against Notts County was voted the overall winner in 2010.
