McIntosh earns point
Carlton McIntosh scored for Latics under-18's who drew 1-1 against Rochdale in the Football League Youth Alliance's North West Conference.Coach Mick Priest described it as a "good, positive team performance" on a difficult pitch at Salford City FC.
Latics were 1-0 down at the break to a headed goal from a free kick, but had chances only to lack a cutting edge.
Priest's side, which was without Danny Gosset who was injured in training on Friday, took control in the second half and deservedly equalised when McIntosh (pictured) headed home from 12 yards following a corner.
Latics then took their foot off the pedal and allowed Rochdale back into the game and they finished the stronger side.
