Three players injured at Stevenage
Latics were today counting the cost of their npower League One victory at Stevenage.Three players - Carl Winchester, Cliff Byrne and James Wesolowski - all had to be substituted through injury during the 2-1 win at the Lamex Stadium.
Winchester sustained a nasty blow to his ankle early in the match and soldiered on until half time.
The way the join swelled was a cause for concern with Caretaker Manager Tony Philliskirk fearing ligament damage may be a distinct possibility.
Byrne came off in the second half through a groin problem.
And substitute Wesolowski found himself substituted after complaining about a tight hamstring so he was withdrawn as a precaution.
