Jose can play at the top level insists Cliff
Cliff Byrne believes Jose Baxter has the ability to play at the highest level.Latics centre-half admits he drools over the skills of the 20-year-old former Everton player (pictured).
Byrne said: "The boy is a talent and we see it day in, day out in training.
"He has every chance of going to the next level and wherever he wants to go.
"We are just thankful he is here and I am sure the gaffer will try and handcuff him to keep him longer.
"Whatever happens, though, he has been magnificent for us and his quality has been first class."
Baxter's penalty at Scunthorpe United on New Year's Day was his 10th goal for Latics since arriving at Boundary Park in August.
