Media converge on Boundary Park
Television crews from all the major networks and national newspapers converged on Boundary Park today.The reason for their interest was Sunday's FA Cup with Budweiser, fourth-round tie against Liverpool.
The clamour for interviews was such that the location was switched to the Sponsors' Suite which had extra space to accommodate everybody. Usually there are a handful of local journalists in the more intimate confines of the boardroom.
Manager Paul Dickov was the focus of attention giving one-to-one interviews with each television station as well as separate briefings for the national dailies, Sunday papers and local media.
Also giving interviews were former Liverpool player Dean Bouzanis, Liverpool fans Jose Baxter and James Wesolowski as well as Robbie Simpson who scored a spectacular goal last season at Anfield where Latics took a shock lead before they eventually lost 5-1.
