Latics backing for Hillsborough victims

A group of fans, who recently took part in the Reds' Rose Walk were at Boundary Park on Sunday when Latics played Liverpool in the fourth round of the FA Cup with Budweiser.

The group, who walked from Hillsborough to Anfield in December in memory of the victims of the Hillsborough tragedy in which 96 Liverpool fans lost their lives, were handed a signed Latics' shirt.

It will be auctioned in March to help the Justice For The 96 awareness campaign fund.

They were provided with refreshments when they called in at Boundary Park by members of Trust Oldham.

The walk visited Huddersfield, Latics, Manchester City, Bury, Bolton, Wigan and Everton.

The 96-mile route took the walkers from Leppings Lane at Sheffield Wednesday, the scene of the tragedy, to the Hillsborough Memorial at Anfield via Boundary Park.
