Latics man coaches coaches
Mick Priest, Latics' Centre of Excellence Manager, is back from a four-day trip to America. He was in Indianapolis where 9,000 coaches attended a convention.
Priest (pictured) was invited to the United States to stand in for Rene Meulensteen, Manchester United's first-team coach, who was unable to attend because the Reds were playing at Tottenham last Sunday.
Meulensteen, with whom Priest has worked at Manchester United, asked him to deputise.
Priest gave a one hour lecture at Indianapolis Convention Centre to 500 coaches on youth development.
This was followed by a one-hour practical on footballing skills development to almost 600 coaches.
Priest added that coaches were primarily American, but presentations were given by coaches from all over the world.
"It was a worthwhile trip and informative for my own education," he explained.
