Winchester starts for Latics
Carl Winchester was handed a rare start by Latics in this afternoon's npower League One match against Brentford at Boundary Park.Winchester (pictured) was called up as Latics were without the central-midfield pairing of captain Dean Furman and James Wesolowski.
Northern Ireland international Winchester for Furman was the one change from the side which won last Saturday at Nottingham Forest in the fourth round of the FA Cup with Budweiser.
Reece Wabara retained his place at right back hours after agreeing to extend his loan from Manchester City.
