Club wants fans to nominate iconic moments

Latics are asking for help from fans in compiling a list of iconic moments from the history of the club.

They will form an exhibition which will be displayed in the lounges at Boundary Park before transferring to a museum which will be incorporated into the new North Stand at Boundary Park.

If fans have memorabilia they wish to donate, including programmes, photographs and items of clothing, they will help enhance the exhibition.

Since being formed as Pine Villa in 1895, Latics have had a long and illustrious history in which they have played at Boundary Park since 1907.

In more recent times, there were the glory years when Joe Royle was manager and Latics were founder members of the Premier League. There were appearances at Wembley in 1990 and 94 and many magical moments.

In more recent times, there have been memorable cup wins against Manchester City, Everton and Liverpool.

Boundary Park has also been graced by many top players from sixties legend Bobby Johnstone to the likes of Andy Ritchie (pictured) and Roger Palmer from the Royle era.

Fans can submit their iconic moments to jenny.warburton@oldhamathletic.co.uk
