N'Diaye injury blow

8 July 2013

Trialist injured on debut

Trialist Momar N'Diaye had possibly the shortest debut for Latics.

The striker, a full international for Senegal, was injured after only two minutes of the pre-season friendly against Dinamo Bucharest.

N'Diaye came on as a half-time substitute but was soon leaving the field on a stretcher with a hamstring injury.

Manager Lee Johnson has pledged that Latics will do everything they can to help N'Diaye with his rehab.

Four players missed Friday's game with minor injuries.

Captain James Wesolowski had a tight hamstring, goalkeeper Luke Simpson a wrist injury, Carl Winchester a knee problem and Chris Sutherland with a muscle injury.

N'Diaye is pictured being taken from the field on a stretcher following his brief appearance against Dinamo Bucharest.
