J D Williams team up with Latics

Oldham Athletic Community Trust has teamed up with J D Williams who become their official matchday partner for the 2013/14 season.

J D Williams are the UK's leading direct home shopping company, operating over 20 successful catalogue brands. Their catalogues offer a huge selection of clothing and other products for all ages and sizes.

The continuing growth has ensured that J D Williams is the most successful direct home shopping company in the UK today, with over two million customers and 4,000 employees.

These will include the J D Williams Team Of The Week and the J D Williams Matchday Club will once again be returning to Boundary Park on matchdays. In addition J D Williams will sponsor the Community Trust's dancers, Blue Crew, who not only perform routines on the pitch but also attend events around the borough.

As part of the partnership deal J D Williams will sponsor the Community Trust matchday activities.

Mike Suban, J D Williams HR Business Manager, said: "We are delighted to be partnering with Oldham Athletic Community Trust to help progress the great work they do with the children in our community.

"J D Williams are proud to be part of the Oldham borough, and we share the same sense of responsibility as the club when it comes to ensuring we have a positive impact on the local community. We are really excited about the opportunity the partnership brings."

Last season saw the introduction of the Team Of The Week initiative and the Matchday Club. Due to the help of J D Williams the Matchday Club will now be running from 12.30pm-5.30pm this season, meaning five hours of activities for only £5.

Martin Vose, Community Trust Participation Manager added: "I'm delighted to have J D Williams on board as the Community Trust matchday partner for the new season.

"J D Williams is a company that is passionate about the local community. I look forward to working closely with them over the next season."

"Both the Team Of The Week and Matchday Club proved to be popular projects last season and now, with the help of J D Williams, we can once again offer these schemes to the young people of Oldham.

"Both initiatives are ideal ways to help entice younger fans into Boundary Park on match days. J D Williams are an Oldham-based company and its essential that we keep developing these partnerships.”

David Broadbent, Oldham Athletic Sales and Marketing Executive, added: "This is a great partnership for everyone, we've worked with Mike and John at J D Williams over several years and to bring all three parties together for the good of the community, especially the young people within the borough.

"Everyone has worked very hard to bring this partnership together and we're very much looking forward to J D Williams being an integral part of our match day offerings.”
