Teams remember Jack Crompton
There will be one minute's applause before tonight's pre-season friendly between Latics and Curzon Ashton at the Tameside Stadium.Both teams will be remembering Jack Crompton, the former Latics' player and Curzon president who recently died at the age of 91.
Jack was the last survivor of Manchester United's 1948 FA Cup winning team.
He lived in Chadderton and made a number of war-time appearances for Latics as an amateur.
