Latics' off-the-field team

6 June 2013

Club's thank you to volunteers

Latics last night rewarded the team of volunteers who have helped the club in the 2012/13 season.

As a mark of their appreciation to the volunteers, the Club and Community Trust invited them to the Sponsors Suite to thank them for their hard work and present them with certificates.

At present, Latics have a team of 40 volunteers who help with ground maintenance and cleaning, holiday activities, matchday clubs and inclusion work.

They have given varying amounts of time from 50 hours to over 500 hours during the season.

And in the cases of Dean Pickering, Linda Perry and Samantha O'Mara, the figure for each of them has been over 500 hours.

Wendy Noble, from Oldham Athletic Community Trust, said: "The volunteers are a valuable asset to the Club and Community Trust.

"We have a fantastic group and their hard work and dedication is amazing and very much appreciated."
