Latics favour terracing trial
Latics have given their support to moves to bring back terracing at Boundary Park. They were one of 55 clubs at the Football League's annual meeting to back a proposal for a trial to be given to safe-standing areas within grounds.
The authorities have, however, opposed moves to restore terracing.
Latics' Chief Executive Neil Joy said: "Bob Syms (Peterborough United Chief Executive) has led the campaign for Football League clubs to run a trial.
"There was a vote at the League's annual meeting in favour of looking into the issue and giving the matter further consideration."
Latics have been in favour of the introduction of safe-standing areas for some time.
