Shopping Centre sponsors monthly award

Latics are delighted to once again link up with Spindles Town Square Shopping Centre for the 2013/14 season, continuing a long association.
Once again the player-of-the-month award will be sponsored by Spindles Town Square Shopping Centre as well as the traditional pre-season player-signing event which takes place within the centre.

Manager Lee Johnson will provide a shortlist at the end of each month and it will then be put to a public vote via the club’s official website and social media accounts, and also through the centre’s website and social media channels.

This season though there will be a twist, the player of the month will be voted for by you, the supporters.
The winner will then be presented with their charity cheque on the pitch before the following home game.
"We’ll be working closely with the centre over the course of the season at various events. We have worked together for a number of years and it’s an important partnership to both parties.

Latics Sales and Marketing Executive David Broadbent said: “The continuation of this partnership is great news for all concerned.

"The town is undergoing a lot of changes at the moment and these partnerships with key organisations help us to be a big part of it.”

"The opening of the player of the month to a supporter vote will, I believe, prove to be very popular and we expect to receive plenty of votes.
"It is important to maintain the close links that have been built up between the Club and the Centre over the last few years and hope we can work together in the future. We, of course, wish Latics all the best for what should be an exciting season ahead.”

Spindles Town Square is pleased to be supporting the Latics for another season and sponsoring the player-of-the-month award. Mike Flanagan, Spindles Town Square Centre Manager, added:  “
