Cherries in town today

The prospect of new loan-signing Korey Smith making his Latics' debut provides added interest to this afternoon's home npower League One match against AFC Bournemouth which kicks off at three o'clock.

The 22-year-old midfield man, only signed late yesterday afternoon from Barclays Premier League club Norwich City, is named in the matchday squad and looks certain to be involved.

There will be plenty at stake for both teams in a game which has much riding on the outcome.

Latics needs points in their battle against relegation while the Cherries need them to get their promotion bid back on track.

It makes for an enthralling contest which adults can watch from as little as £19.

Ticket prices are £20 for adults in the Main Stand Upper with over-65's, under-16's and students all £10.

In Main Stand Lower the prices are £19 and £9 respectively.

Prices for the Chaddy End and Rochdale Road Stand are £20 for adults, £10 concessions with under-16's in both stands £5.

Bournemouth fans will be accommodated in the small section of the Rochdale Road Stand.

Students are reminded they must hold Oldham Athletic student membership which is available from the ticket office.

Latics have a good record against Bournemouth at Boundary Park having won on all three of their most recent visits.

Bournemouth halted a run of five straight defeats with a midweek win at Stevenage.

It will be a special afternoon for on-loan Latics' striker Lee Barnard who spent the first half of the season on loan at Bournemouth from Southampton.
