Latics look at left back
Latics gave a trial to former Leeds United player Ben Parker in this afternoon's reserve-team match against Hull City.The 25-year-old left-back is a free agent and currently without a club.
Parker played the full 90 minutes in the goalless draw against the Tigers in Central League, First Division at Chapel Road.
He was at Leeds from 2005/12 making 48 starts and a further seven substitute appearances.
Parker, capped by England at under-16, 17, 18 and 19 level, also had loan spells at Carlisle, Darlington and Bradford City.
Since leaving Leeds last summer, Parker has had spells with Tranmere and Bury on non-contract basis.
