Shrewsbury confident tomorrow's game will go ahead
Shrewsbury Town have issued the following statement regarding tomorrow's npower League One match against Latics at Greenhous Meadow.
The club remains confident that tomorrow's match against Oldham will go ahead. Weather forecasts are variable for the town of Shrewsbury and there has been little snow so far. However, significant snow fall and low temperatures will make matters more difficult.
Many factors have to be taken into account. Health and safety of pedestrians and car users on site have to be taken into consideration by those who make the final decision on the match proceeding.
The club have put in contingency plans for clearing snow and will make every effort to enable the match to take place. There is no planned pitch inspection at this time.
