Sir Trevor pays surprise visit
Sir Trevor Brooking, one of the most powerful men in English football, today paid a surprise visit to Boundary Park.The former West Ham and England midfield man, who is now the Football Association's Director of Football Development, was taking a look at Latics' successful Academy.
Sir Trevor, who watched the Academy team train, was later in the day also visiting Liverpool's Academy.
FA Development Coach Martin Diggle, who is mentoring Latics Academy's Head of Coaching Simon Cooper with his studies for his UEFA 'A' Licence, organised the visit.
