Simon Corney on ten years at Latics
Simon Corney has just completed ten years at Boundary Park.Starting tomorrow on the official website will be a series of daily articles in which Mr Corney (pictured) reflects on his eventful decade at the club.
And even more importantly, Mr Corney also looks to the future.
Simon Corney, Simon Blitz and Danny Gazal officially took over the club on 'Celebration Sunday' February 8th, 2004 with free admission for the Grimsby Town match, though the Three Amigos, as they were known, had effectively been in charge since the previous autumn.
Latics beat the Mariners 6-0 in front of a capacity 13,007 crowd with many locked outside the ground as their reign began on a high.
Mr Corney gives his candid and often forthright views relating to his watch at Boundary Park and it is a series of articles not to be missed.
Tomorrow Mr Corney provides an overview of his ten years at Latics and also relives how his involvement began.
