Good news for Rooney, Wesolowski
Adam Rooney and James Wesolowski have provided cheer for Latics on the injury front. The injuries sustained by the pair are not as bad as was initially feared.
Rooney (pictured) received a painful whack to the top of his foot in training and the fear was that he might have chipped a bone which, happily, isn't the case.
Wesolowski, meanwhile, has a hamstring strain which appears to be improving well.
Charlie MacDonald is expected back in full training on Monday having missed six matches through an ankle injury.
And Matteo Lanzoni, out for eight matches with a torn hamstring, is expected to be able to resume training soon.
David Mellor remains ill and Glenn Belezika, who is on loan at Hyde United, is also suffering from sickness.
Cliff Byrne, who is on loan at Scunthorpe United, has broken his hand. It is hoped he will be able to continue playing as the Iron are having a special cast made for him.
