Latics' Christmas Toy Appeal

22 November 2013

Actor Rob plays Santa

The hearthrob, who was nominated for the 'Sexiest Male' at the 2011 Inside Soap Awards, was modelling Latics'  training kit which is being promoted on the online shop.

Rob, who has also starred in Grange Hill, brought in presents during a visit to Boundary Park today and he is pictured handing them over to Latics' Commercial Manager Jenny Warburton.

Former Hollyoaks actor Rob Norbury is backing Latics' Christmas Toy Appeal.

Latics launched their Christmas Toy Appeal in association with the SafeGuard Group.

Toys and gifts are needed for boys and girls aged 0/16 years. Please bring them unwrapped so they can be sorted into the appropriate age and gender categories. It will also test the players’ wrapping skills as they have offered to help.

They are asking everyone who goes Christmas shopping to buy an extra present and bring it to the We Are Latics club shop.

This year the Club would like to do it bigger and better than ever which is why they have launched a Christmas Toy Appeal in association with the SafeGuard Group.

Each year, members of the first-team squad and mascot Chaddy the Owl go to the Royal Oldham Hospital to give presents to children who aren’t fortunate enough to spend the festive period at home.

Please ensure that gifts are received by noon on Saturday, December 14th. Anything that will help to give these children a better Christmas would be greatly appreciated.
