Petrasso loan move from QPR

Latics have signed Mike Petrasso from QPR on a one-month youth loan.

The teenage winger (pictured below signing for Latics), a Canadian under-20 international, is highly rated by the London club.

Petrasso (18) was signed from Toronto FC's Academy last season.

He was in the under-18 squad which won last season's Pro Development League.

Petrasso has scored six goals in nine appearances for QPR under-21's this season.

He was also last month invited to train with the full Canadian team as they prepared for a friendly against Australia at Craven Cottage, home of Fulham.

Petrasso's loan will expire after the home game against Colchester on December 21st.

He joined up with Latics today in Maidstone for a training session as they prepare for tomorrow's Sky Bet League 1 match at Gillingham.

Petrasso has been added to the squad for the game at Priestfield and will feature subject to clearance from the Football League and Football Association.
