Philliskirk finds positives in defeatAcademy Manager Tony Philliskirk found positives in Latics reserves' 6-3 defeat to the Nike Academy.
Philliskirk (pictured) described it as a good exercise and one which his young players will learn from.
He explained: "I thought we were very good for the opening half hour and were more than holding our own when it stood at 1-1.
"The Nike lads pulled away and there were times when it looked men against boys as they were older and more experienced players. They also had extra pace, power and strength.
"To score three, and we should possibly have had more, was a positive and I got a lot out of the game as I am sure our players did."
Philliskirk was disappointed with the goals conceded saying most of them were down to individual mistakes.
